The third-annual Woodbury Restaurant Week will be held from March 19-25, 2018. From fine dining to grab-and-go, 26 of the town’s 28 dining establishments in Woodbury have shown an interest in participating.
“The past two years, we’ve been so busy during Woodbury Restaurant Week,” says Dennis DeBellis, the owner of John’s Café, a New England bistro with a menu of American and Mediterranean cuisine. “March usually stinks business-wise and weather-wise, but Woodbury Restaurant Week gives us a wonderful week of business.”
Woodbury Restaurant Week gives foodies outside the immediate Woodbury area to discover the varied dining opportunities in Woodbury.
“There are a lot of great restaurants in Woodbury,” says Jimmy Rakiposki, the owner of Woodbury Diner. “You’ve got us, you’ve got the new Max Prime Steakhouse, Fish & Sushi Bar, you’ve got Market Place Kitchen & Bar. You really have a little bit of everything in Woodbury. People call it the Restaurant Capital of the World.”
The new presenter of Woodbury Restaurant Week, JustWoodbury.com, a division of A Content Shop, LLC, have changed the event focus from solely a celebration of restaurants to celebration of all things Woodbury.
While Woodbury has become a well-known destination for dining aficionados, the new presenters want Woodbury Restaurant Week to showcase the town as a destination for tourism.
“Woodbury is not just the best town in Connecticut for dining,” says Tim Parry, Principal of A Content Shop, LLC, and Editor and Publisher of JustWoodbury.com. “Our town is the Mecca of the Connecticut Antiques Trail, a stop along both the Connecticut Beer and Wine Trails, a shopping destination for vintage furnishings and home décor, a place where you can hike many wooded trails, and much, much more.”
Woodbury is a small, picturesque, and traditional New England town nestled in the foothills of Litchfield County. Distinguished by beautiful homes and antique buildings lining Main Street, much of Woodbury has been preserved over the centuries, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.
To encourage visitors to explore the many opportunities Woodbury has to offer, area hotels are offering special rates during restaurant week.
A pre-Woodbury Restaurant Week “meet the restaurateur” kickoff party will be held on March 18 at Woodbury Brewing Company. WBC will also host an exclusive party for those who are identified as “frequent diners” during Woodbury Restaurant Week.”
